Spare a thought for Bob Geldof, Jacques Chirac and Gordon Brown. They all had a bad week. The terrorist attacks in London wiped out the Live8 coverage in an instant. Fresh from losing the vote on the European Consitution, President Chirac went on to lose the Olympic Games to London. Worse, he had to be nice to PrimeMinister Blair, as did Chancellor Gordon Brown. Above all, he must have felt he was getting closer to the PM until last week. Winning the Games turned Blair into Bobby Moore. The terrorism turned him into Winston Churchill. The wounded turned him into Mother Theresa. Make no mistake Blair is back.
